The company acquires it own premises and ventures into machine tool trading, selling new and used machine tools. |

MTP is started as a second company, focusing exclusively on the rebuilding of machine tools |

We move to our existing premises, initially built as a 1600 sq. meter facility with 2 overhead cranes. We acquire our first slideway grinder, a used Schmaltz
of 1950's vintage. |
| 1992 |
We purchase a new Aschersleben slideway grinder, for which a new extension in added to the building with a 30 ton overhead crane. Total factory area now comprises 2400 sq. meters. |
| 1993 |
We establish a sister company Saltire Technical Services, to develop an in-house CNC retrofitting capability, initially only on Siemens CNC systems. |
| 1995 |
We are awarded the contract to modernize a Dorries 14 meter vertical borer, and re-install the machine at Shanghai Hydro Electric company in China. |
| 1996 |
We develop the expertise to also retrofit Fanuc CNC systems within STS. |
| 1999 |
We extend the building to 3200 sq. meter by adding an assembly bay with 10 meter height under a 25 ton overhead crane. |
| 2000 |
Cut Tech is established as the third sister company to perform all machining work in-house in support of the rebuilding of machine tools |
| 2003 |
We export our 20th rebuilt machine to the USA |
| 2004 |
We add a fabrication bay and a showroom for new machine tools, with factory space now totalling
5100 sq. meters serviced by 7 overhead cranes. |
| 2005 |
We establish MTP Engineering as the fourth sister company in the group to specialize in mechanical and geometric rebuilding of machine tools. |
