Slideway grinding
Our Aschersleben slideway grinder allows us to grind large flat surfaces to very high accuracies. (See tables below) The grinder features hydrostatic slide ways to allow for table loading up to 5 ton / meter without distortion. The machine has a universal grinding head for angled slide ways and a tangential grinding head for flat slide ways. The machine is equipped with flood coolant to allow for stress-free grinding of large parts.
We can also perform light milling on the grinder, using a dedicated milling spindle in the universal head. This allows us to machine the locating faces for ball screw bearing housings or linear scales in the same setting as the slide ways were ground, ensuring perfect alignment of the axes drive trains with the slide ways.
